If you have not listened to those shows, we recommend that you do.
Lyme Disease is such a devastating disease that not only affects the person, but also the people that support that person. Many times the family and friends of Lyme patients do not realize the daily struggles of this disease. Julie and Pat discuss the different aspects of Lyme. There is a great article at TiredofLyme.com that discusses these components of Lyme:
- They’re not crazy, they’re not lazy, and it’s not all in their head.
- They’re not stupid. They’re under the influence.
- They’re on a special diet.
- They’re not ignoring you. They’re reeling.
- Yes, they had to leave their job or drop out of college; or both.
- Stop saying “Well, you look healthy to me.”
- Yes, they’ve been enduring it for many months or even years.
- Treatment makes them feel worse.
- They don’t have all the answers.
- They’re not bipolar.
